2025-06-29T23:10:13+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 HADIShttps://hadis.uis.edu.my/index.php/inhad/article/view/264Kajian Systematic Literature Review (SLR) Berkaitan Penulisan Hadis Nusantara Di Malaysia2025-07-01T12:21:32+08:00ABDUL HADIabdulhadi@uis.edu.myFarhah Zaidar Mohamed Ramliabdulhadi@uis.edu.my
Many studies have been conducted on works and figures of hadith written by scholars in the Malay Archipelago. These studies show that hadith works and figures have existed since the 17th century CE. Additionally, the studies also indicate that the science of hadith was not marginalized in the writings of Malay scholars, despite the region being more renowned for its focus on the study and writing of fiqh, aqidah, and tasawwuf. These studies also prove that Malay scholars disseminated the knowledge of hadith not only through teaching but also through writing. This systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted to examine writings related to hadith in the Malay Archipelago in Malaysia by referring to articles from the years 2014-2024 from the Google Scholar database. The collected articles were then scrutinized to ensure that the selected articles met the focus of the study. A total of 27 out of 44 articles were chosen for discussion in this study. Overall, the study shows that there are six themes that can be classified concerning previous research themes on hadith writing in the Malay Archipelago. These themes are: 1) the history of the development of hadith works, 2) methodology of hadith writing / mustalah hadith, 3) hadith commentary / fiqh al-hadith, 4) translation, 5) figures, and 6) hadith chains (sanad). Therefore, the study shows that research and writing related to hadith in the Malay Archipelago are still relevant by highlighting contemporary works and figures in Malaysia.
2025-06-29T23:16:22+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 HADIShttps://hadis.uis.edu.my/index.php/inhad/article/view/291Adakah Rasulullah SAW Mengamalkan Nepotisme? Contoh Kes Pelantikan Usāmah ibn Zayd RA sebagai Panglima Perang2025-07-02T08:47:36+08:00Abur Hamdi Usmanaburhamdi@uis.edu.myAbdul Hadi Awangabdulhadi@uis.edu.myAzwar Azwarazwar.iskandar@gmail.comMohammad Fattahhudanlinnaas@gmail.com
The appointment of Usāmah ibn Zayd RA as a military commander by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has occasionally been questioned as a potential instance of nepotism, raising concerns about whether the selection was based on merit or familial ties. This issue warrants a thorough examination to clarify the principles of leadership in Islam and to address misconceptions about the Prophet’s decision-making process. Hence, this study aims to critically analyze the appointment of Usāmah RA as a war commander, evaluating whether it aligns with Islamic principles of meritocracy and justice. It seeks to explore the historical context, Usāmah’s qualifications, and the broader framework of Islamic leadership to determine if the appointment was justified or influenced by nepotism. The research employs a qualitative analysis of primary Islamic sources, including Hadith collections, historical accounts (Siyār), and scholarly exegeses (Tafsīr). The study also examines the principles of Islamic leadership, such as meritocracy, accountability, and consultation (Shūrā), to contextualize the Prophet’s decision. The findings reveal that Usāmah RA was appointed based on his demonstrated military experience, loyalty, and competence, rather than familial ties. The Prophet’s decision was consistent with Islamic principles of meritocracy and was guided by divine wisdom. The appointment served the strategic interests of the Muslim community and reinforced the values of justice and fairness in leadership. There is no evidence to suggest that nepotism played a role in the selection process. Future studies could explore other historical appointments made by the Prophet (PBUH) to further analyze the consistency of his leadership principles. Additionally, research could investigate how early Islamic leadership models can inform contemporary discussions on governance and ethical leadership in Muslim societies. Comparative studies with other religious or historical leadership frameworks may also provide deeper insights into the universality of merit-based appointments.
2025-06-29T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 HADIShttps://hadis.uis.edu.my/index.php/inhad/article/view/288Pendidikan Islam Dan Murid Berkeperluan Pendidikan Khas : Menyantuni Orang Kurang Upaya Menurut Hadis2025-07-01T12:20:55+08:00Norafizah Mustafanorafizahmustafa83@gmail.comNur Safra Mohd Zhaffarnursafra@uitm.edu.myMahfuzah Mohammed Zabidimahfuzah3051@uitm.edu.my
Diacritical marking plays a crucial role in preventing mispronunciations and errors in reading and writing these names, ensuring their correct interpretation. For this reason, Hadith scholars have emphasized the importance of memorizing these names, acquiring them from experts, and studying works dedicated to their correct vocalization. Some scholars authored specialized works focused on the diacritical marking of the names of hadith narrators. Among them was the renowned Hadith scholar Shaykh Muhammad ibn Tahir al-Fattani al-Gujrati (d. 986 AH), a prominent Hadith expert from India. He authored the seminal work Al-Mughni fi Dabt Asma' al-Rijal, which remains one of the most valuable and influential texts on the subject. In this work, Al-Fattani meticulously applied diacritical marks to the names of Hadith narrators, their genealogies, titles, epithets, and attributions. This study offers a methodological and critical examination of Al-Mughni fi Dabt Asma' al-Rijal, exploring key themes that underscore the importance of diacritical marking in Ilm al-Rijal, one of the most esteemed disciplines within Ulum al-Hadith. The researcher adopts inductive, descriptive, and critical approaches. The inductive method was employed to gather and trace relevant materials, the descriptive method to outline Al-Fattani’s methodology, and the critical method to assess the strengths and limitations of his work. Through this study, the researcher has reached several conclusions, the most important of which are: Al-Fattani was among the foremost scholars of Hadith in the 10th century of Hijrah, and Mastery in the art of identifying names, epithets, titles, and genealogies is an essential skill to avoid errors in reading and writing them, and Al-Mughni stands out as one of the most significant works authored in this field and is distinguished by numerous unique features.
2025-06-29T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 HADIShttps://hadis.uis.edu.my/index.php/inhad/article/view/250[Introduction of the book "al- Wuhdan wal Munfaridat" by Imam Muslim in Science of Narrators of Hadis]2025-07-01T12:20:37+08:00Phayilah Yamaphayilah@kuis.edu.mySuriani Sudisuriani@uis.edu.my
Imam Muslim is one of the hadith scholars and a well-known author of two sahih books after Imam al-Bukhari. Due to the position of hadith as the second source of Islamic law after the Qur'an, the hadith plays an important role in explaining the content of the Qur'an. The hadiths were quoted through the way of narration and the established system of narration between generations and also between tabaqah after tabaqah which later gave rise to the emergence of hadith scholars in the field of narration and dirayah. Indeed, Imam Muslim is a distinguished figure among leading scholars who is reliable in mastering knowledge about the ins and outs of the knowledge of sanad and the background knowledge of rijal, or the knowledge of al-jarh wa al-ta'dil and one of the main topics of the knowledge involved is the knowledge of al-wuhdan. Imam Muslim has a work in this field called al-Munfaridat wa al-Wuhdan. This study is divided into two debates, the first: the definition of al-Wuhdan. Meanwhile, the second part concentrates on Imam Muslim's life and the approach of the book al-Munfaridat wa al-Wuhdan and the final part contains the closing and conclusion.
2025-06-30T17:34:21+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 HADIS
