الملخص

Islam encourages dialogue between believers of different religions to promote understanding and peace. Solidarity in religious community is a value that is emphasized in Islam and needs to be upheld on the principle of justice as well as the value of mutual respect and doing good. In an increasingly globalized world, understanding religious diversity is an important element in achieving peace and harmony in a multicultural and religious society. Analysing and delving into hadiths that focus on the Prophet's engagements with non-Muslims can provide valuable insights in facilitating a deeper understanding of how to promote harmony in a diverse and multicultural society.  The concept of the Prophet Muhammad as a "qudwah" is deeply ingrained in Islamic teachings, and Muslims strive to emulate his conduct and teachings in their daily lives. Therefore, this writing aims to identify the way of the Prophet PBUH interacted with non-Muslims through the stories mentioned in the Prophetic hadith and formulate the attitudes that exist in the Prophet that can be emulated by Muslims throughout the ages. The research data was acquired using a method that involved the analysis of several hadith, which were carefully selected and organized based on the themes related to the Prophet's interactions with non-Muslims. The results of the study found clear evidence of the good attitudes of the Prophet SAW towards non-Muslims with five interactions namely, (a) respecting followers of other religions, (b) recognizing the goodness of other followers, (c) being fair towards non-Muslims' property, (d) connecting relations and (e) do not respond to evil with evil. The study suggests that the method of interaction of the Prophet PBUH towards non-Muslims can be expanded as a positive model for fostering harmony among diverse religious communities.
