Tabiin Narration About The Unknown Companions: Acceptance and Rejection
Abstract
This paper deals with the precise problem about the issue in ‘Ulum hadith. Muslims agreed on the justice of the Companions, also on the fair of vague companions. According to Mutakallimin about the connection or disconnection of the Sanad, make this issue was arousing. Is this ambiguity Companions, or it is doubtful of the Tabi’in? If they are Companions, is the narration of the Tabi'in was heard, or is he connecting the hadith by the way of al-anan? Hence, this research has distinguished between whether the narration is by hearing and the majority of scholar agreed with the connection of the Sanad, and whether the hadith narrated by the the way of al-'Anna. Most of the scholars agreed the Sanad are connected while the others said the Sanad are disconnect. Some of their words was indicated the acceptance by majority of Tabi’in. The research concluded that Tabi’in narration about the companion by the way of al-'Anna cannot be determined as connected at all, nor on disconnection at all, but there is sign if there are have a strong in their words about connection such as: the narration of al-Tabi’in about the vague companion is from the authorities Tabi’in, the Tabi’in is not a defective, and the hadith is not contradicting with other authorities Tabi’in.
