JOURNAL HADIS serves as a premier academic platform dedicated to the dissemination of rigorous research and scholarly discourse in the fields of Hadith Sciences (Ulum al-Hadith) and Prophetic traditions. The primary objectives of the journal are:
1. To Uphold Prophetic Authority: Provide a reputable platform for high-quality research that strengthens the understanding and authority of Hadith as the second primary source of Islamic law and ethics.
2. To Advance Methodological Discourse: Foster critical discussions on traditional methodologies—such as Takhrij and Jarh wa Ta’dil—as well as the integration of modern technology in preserving the Sunnah.
3. To Address Contemporary Issues: Bridge the gap between classical Hadith texts and modern societal, scientific, and humanitarian challenges, ensuring the timeless relevance of the Sunnah.
4. To Promote International Scholarship: Facilitate a robust exchange of ideas between local and international scholars, promoting a refined understanding of Hadith and countering extremism or misinterpretation.

1. Ulum al-Hadith & Methodology: Hadith terminology (mustalah al-hadith), the methodologies of classical Hadith compilers, and the historical evolution of Hadith literature.
2. Takhrij & Sanad Analysis: Critical studies of narrators (ilm al-rijal), textual chains of transmission, and the authentication of Hadith.
3. Syarh & Fiqh al-Hadith: In-depth thematic and textual analysis of Matn (content) and the extraction of legal, jurisprudential, or ethical rulings.
4. Hadith & Contemporary Challenges: The intersection of Hadith with modern science, medicine, economics, sociology, and human rights.
5. Hadith in the Digital Age: Addressing the spread of fabricated traditions on digital/social media and the implementation of software, big data, or AI in Hadith research.
6. Manuscript Studies & Regional Traditions: Critical editing of ancient manuscripts and the distinct contributions of regional scholars (e.g., Malay Archipelago traditions) to the field of Hadith.
7. Responses to Orientalism & Hadith Rejectionism: Academic refutations of modern misconceptions, revisionist theories, and challenges regarding the structural authority of the Sunnah.
